Due to a very busy production schedule for Spring and Summer – we have decided to move the Mythic Film Festival to Fall 2010 – so we can give it the time and attention it deserves.
If you’ve submitted a film – we’d like to hold on it for consideration in the Fall.

The 1st Annual Mythic Film Festival is now accepting entries.
Cost to enter is $10 – all proceeds go directly to putting up the festival and supporting the work of those creating in the mythic film arts.

Welcome to the Mythic Film Festival blog. Our official website is now up for all to view and we are accepting submissions for the 1st Annual Mythic Film Festival.
The festival will take place April 30-May 2, 2010, in New York City. Our mission is to support and promote filmmakers working in the mythic arts and independently of the studio system. The work of those who find myth and metaphor to be the conduit of their imagination. Our goal is to celebrate these films in the spirit of a festival, rather than the grind of competition. We have two venues – the blog and the festival. The blog highlights mythic films and filmmakers from around the world on a regular basis. The festival hosts screenings and awards with live performances once a year.
